EnvoyHealth, a Diplomat company, has partnered with Compliance Meds Technologies (CMT) to pilot a program for CleverCap LITE, a technology designed to improve patient medication adherence.

CleverCap LITE offers medication monitoring and control for patients and providers. The compact, high-tech bottle cover:
- Records date and time of bottle access
- Records if a medication bottle isn’t properly reclosed

According to the American Heart Association, medication nonadherence takes the lives of 125,000 Americans annually and costs the U.S. health care system nearly $300 billion per year in doctor visits, emergency department visits, and hospitalizations.
Not adhering to a medication regimen with respect to timing, dosage, and/or duration can interfere with a patient’s ability to treat and manage a disease, leading to a greater risk for complications and a lower quality of life.
